The first 15 minutes are brilliant. The two dark Jedi are clearly the most interesting part of the show and Ashoka was also brilliant. Where we run into trouble is with Sabine Wren. This unknown actress is straight up unlikeable. Part of it is the writing with her acting the same as the female lead in Indiana Jones. The “I am the best and I don’t need no man” type of character. Perhaps she will improve as the series continues. The plot is laid out for us so there is some direction as to where they are headed. This show could be great, or not, but let’s hope great. The coming episode Let’s hope the stone faced newcomer playing Sabine loosens up a bit from being a stone faced rebel so we can get a good feel for her acting chops. If the main character Sabine remains unlikable the show could be in trouble. Ashoka does a great job at acting so let hope she gets more screen time as well.
