Caleb Landry Jones’ Dracula had me feeling for his 400-year quest for Mina, making me pity his pain, though the toned-down horror might let down scare fans. Christoph Waltz as the priest was a treat-his intensity is always brilliant! The faith angle, with Dracula rebelling against God, added depth. Some slower romantic bits dragged, but it’s a 7/10 I’d rewatch to compare with Stoker’s book. A must for gothic romance fans!
